Chapter Four

Janne sighed as he gazed at the mountain. The sky above was clear with no clouds in sight.

“Are you disappointed?” Kitan asked.

Janne turned to him. “I suppose. There are other moons though.”

Putting his pack down, Kitan came to stand behind Janne and embrace him. Janne leaned back into the larger man’s strong chest. Being close to him felt so good, no matter what they were doing. “Why are you looking for cloud formations? You didn’t explain that.”

“Wherever Merka went when she wore the crown, clouds gathered above her. The crown maintained this ability even when she wasn’t wearing it. Clouds gathered over her palaces on each world.”

“Something electromagnetic? I’m too skeptical about the supernatural part.”

“I think it’s something along those lines.” Janne turned in Kitan’s arms. “There’s no point in going farther. Can we go explore the cave we passed a ways back? There might be something there of interest.”

“Sure.” Kitan kissed his forehead and grabbed his pack.

Janne liked all the affectionate displays. He wouldn’t have expected them from the muscular man with dark, serious eyes, which made him love it even more. Once inside the cave, they found a plaque. “Looks like there’s something here, but it must be carvings. It would be guarded if there were more. Any artifacts will be gone.”

They both read the plaque, which confirmed there were carvings deeper in the cave. The message appeared in six different languages. Janne ventured deeper, setting his pack down. He reached back for Kitan. “Come here. Let’s look.”

Kitan set his pack down, too, shoving them behind two rocks, and then he took Janne’s hand. About twenty feet in, they found the carvings. They were very simple but still beautiful. Janne explained the ones he understood, slowly moving closer to Kitan. Then he turned and looked up, happy to see Kitan had taken note of his nearness.

“We fell asleep last night. There’s something you said I could do.” Janne pushed Kitan against the wall and glanced to the cave entrance. “Are you afraid of being caught?”

Kitan chuckled. “With your mouth on me, I won’t be able to think enough to be afraid.”

Janne got down on his knees and freed Kitan’s cock. Kitan asked, “What about you?”
